Mike, as a former employee of MHM and Cofounder of Studio Four Design, an alum of the University of Tennessee and a lifelong sports fan, has had the honor of having a 26 year relationship with the Athletic Department at the University, and has had an opportunity to work on some of the most iconic sports venues, not only at the University of Tennessee but around the United States. In 1996 he had the opportunity to design the East Skyboxes at Neyland Stadium and the Wolf Kaplin Center. Mike was senior designer on every phase of Thompson Boling Arena from the addition of luxury suites, a center hung jumbotron and media rail, new seats, new graphics and concourse improvements to the men’s and women’s basketball offices and entry lobby. Most recently he worked on the men’s and women’s basketball locker rooms, training center and concourse restrooms. Mike designed a new indoor track and volleyball practice facility on campus as well. To date, only the volleyball facility has been completed. One of the biggest honors was when the Athletic Department called Mike and asked him to create a design sketch for the Pat Summitt Plaza, commemorating her 1000th win.
